An ADF application uses Active Data Service to push data changes to the browser without specific user intervention. When the Web browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, pressing 'Escape' while the page element is refreshing will break the data connection to the server, and no further updates will be seen. If the updates are very frequent, then the likelihood of the users hitting Escape at just the wrong time is particularly high.
This problem has been seen on JDeveloper 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124, but most likely other versions are affected. It is likely that other browsers besides Microsoft's will also show the problem, but it seems to be harder to reproduce with FireFox..
The problem is only seen when the ADF channel mode is 'streaming', but this is the default.
