Unable to start Hadoop Jobs process, Name Node is not leaving safe mode (Doc ID 1534404.1)

Goal

When we attempt to start up the Hadoop Jobs to start the Scheduler, the system is throwing the exception copied below:
Note:: hdfs.DedicatedProperties: getLock(): Exception creating lock file!
org.apache.hadoop.ipc.RemoteException: org.apache.hadoop.dfs.SafeModeException: Cannot create file/analytics/oiinjected/2012/11/22/.metadata_lock. Name node is in safe mode.
