When Viewing PDF/DOCX/XLSX Files in the Imaging Basic Viewer, Error "Transformation process returned error code 135" Occurs (Doc ID 1535726.1)

Symptoms

When trying to view PDF/DOCX/XLSX files in our Imaging Basic Viewer, it fails with and error Transformation process returned error code 135.

 [ERROR] [] [oracle.imaging.service] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '24' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 0000JnGiRjn4ep3_nlo2yZ1H568_000reU,0] [APP: imaging] Error transforming object[[oracle.imaging.RenderingException: Transformation process returned error code 135.

 The error does not occur if using the Advanced Viewer and does not happen when viewing tiff or jpg images.
