How to Set the HTTP Session Timeout to Reduce the Number of HTTP sessions on WLS Source Site When Using SAML with BASIC Authentication
(Doc ID 1536433.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Configuring WebLogic to provide SAML 1.1 (v2) Source Site functionality using BASIC authentication would essentially mean that there is no web application hosted as the source-site application.
This configuration does not allow one to control the HTTP session timeout for sessions that get created as a result of authentication happening on the source site, because of which one can see a lot of sessions being created on the source site server.
