Forms Hanging Issue (Doc ID 1537781.1)

Oracle Forms - Version 11.0.0 to [Release 11.0.0 to 11g]
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)


Note: The solution listed in this note is specific to Windows XP and not applicable to Windows 7 or Vista.



While working with the Forms Application, the client session is hanging intermittently.  The following message is displayed in the top left corner of the window:


Users are left with no option other than terminating the IE Session from Task Manager.

The following apply:

1. The version of the JRE has been upgraded from 1.6.xx.x or 1.7.xx.xx; 

2. If you perform IP Packet tracing on PC’s with the issue no network issues are detected.

3. The problem exists with  IE6, IE7 and IE8.
