Problem With OAM 11gR2 Installer When Using OID/LDAP Name Resolution (Doc ID 1539170.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

During installation OAM 11gR2 installer encounters a problem using OID/LDAP name resolution for configuring JDBC during the installation.

On the “Configure JDBC Component Schema” screen, even though it is possible to populate the JDBC parameter fields to yield the correct OID connection screen, and even through it returns SUCCESS on the connection test, it fails later on when actually writing the values out to the domain. If you look at what it tries to write out at the end of the wizard by expanding the JDBC config section in the “Configuration Summary”, you will see it has an ugly invalid mixture of default and correct values.
