Goal

There is a documented procedure for adding a new ACL resource using the Application Server's Admin interface.

But once created, there is no way to completely delete this ACL resource from the admin interface.

This is due to a limitation with the product since only the values from server.xml are shown in admin interface. The other configuration files are native to web server which got propagated to the application server.

Note : This is only applicable to the Standard Edition (SE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) of the Application Server.
