Goal

How to Send Extra Parameters in Managed Attachments from EBS Forms, EBS OAF or Peoplesoft.

In 11.1.1.6, a new table was added to the E-Business Suite AXF schema called AXF_MA_PARAMETERS. This table must be populated with values in order to pass extra metadata to the content server checkin pages.

The config setting AppAdapterExtraCheckinMetadata is defined on the content server. This is a comma separated list of metadata fields that will be populated automatically when the E-Business Suite user clicks Zoom -> Managed Attachments. The content server tracks these extra parameters in the AFGRANTS table's column REQEXTRAPARAMS. This results in an auto-populated field on the checkin page when a Managed Attachments user clicks the "New" button on the adapter page.

The end result of this setup should be that the intended field (example uses xIDNumber) is automatically filled-in with the passed in value, as seen in the screen shot below where the Invoice Number is entered into the field xIDNumber.
