How To Enable SSL Only For ODSM URL (Without An HTTP Server As Proxy)? How To Enable SSL For A Virtual URL For ODSM (Multiple HA Clustered Nodes)? (Doc ID 1540582.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g, e.g., 11.1.1.6, running on two HA clustered nodes.

Oracle Directory Services Manager (ODSM) and Directory Integration Platform (DIP) are also clustered and running on two nodes.

Only DIP and ODSM applications are integrated with Weblogic Server (WLS) Managed Server (wls_ods).

How to switch only the ODSM virtual URL to ssl mode (https) so it can be distributed to multiple admins for user and group administration, while keeping all the other URLs and ssl configuration settings, such as WLS console, Enterprise Managerd (EM) Fusion Middleware (FMW) Control console, and ODSM ldap connections to the OIDs, etc, all with the same default values?
