Poor Performance When Using OWSM Without Message Encryption (Doc ID 1540873.1)

Last updated on JUNE 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Web Services Manager - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.6.0 [Release 11gR1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Web Service is secured with a token based policy that by default requires that the message is either signed or encrypted. The policy is then modified to
neither encrypt or sign the messages.

Problem: the server takes very long to send a large response message.

Changes

The performance problem shows up only when the Web Service is secured with OWSM.

The performance problem shows up only when the messages contain many (thousands) elements in the body.
