JDBC doesn't Retrieve Password When Using a Custom Credential Mapper and "Enable Identity Pooling"

Symptoms
After installing a Custom Credential Mapper, and creating a DataSource with the following setup:
- Under Connection-Pool tab set empty password and Initial Capacity to 0.
- Under Indentity-Options tab check "Enable Identity Based Connection Pooling"
- Under Indentity-Options tab check "Enable Identity Based Connection Pooling"
If Data Source Connection is tested, and the following message will appear in the Admin Console:
