Accessing Weblogic via HTTPS Fails : SSL Configured to Terminate at OHS - FATAL Alert : BAD_CERTIFICATE in managed server log (Doc ID 1542834.1)

Symptoms

The objective is to access an application deployed in a WebLogic Server managed server via an Oracle HTTP Server HTTPS port. SSL is terminated at OHS and the weblogic managed server is not SSL enabled.

An attempt to access the application fails. The following error is seen in the managed server log.
