Last updated on JUNE 18, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Platform - Version 11.1.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The following error is thrown, when attempting to generate a WSDL for an SAP BAPI/RFC Service in the Application Explorer:

{BAPI or RFC name} not found" (e.g. "'CSAP_MAT_BOM_CREATE' not found.")

This occurs when searching for the BAPI/RFC in the Application Explorer 'Remote Function Modules' tree and right clicking to the 'Find' option.

After entering the RFC name (e.g. '*CSAP_MAT_BOM_CREATE*') and searching for it, the 'not found' error appears in a pop-up window.

Inspection of the Application Explorer log (found in <ADAPTER_HOME>\soa\thirdparty\ApplicationAdapters\tools\iwae\bin) revealed the following error:

Wed Apr 03 22:05:56 GMT+00:00 2013 14 SEVERE IWAFManagedConnectionFactory com.ibi.sap30.design.SapTreeBuilder getAppTree(161) Error Key: JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE Error Message: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (104) JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No RFC authorization for function module RFC_FUNCTION_SEARCH_WITHGROUP. (Remote shortdump: RFC_NO_AUTHORITY in system DV2|ollerton)

which logs the following SAP JCo error:
