Network Configuration Does Not Complete Successfully For vServer's Created In The Second Server Pool (Doc ID 1545377.1)

Symptoms

You have an installation of Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software (EECS) version 2.0.4.0.0 deployed in a virtual configuration (often referred to as the Navstar release).

When you create new vServer's associated with an EoIB based network then:

  1. when the vServer is placed on server pool#1
    • the vServer creation is fully successful:
    • the "vDC-Create-vServer" tasks succeeds
    • the networking environment created on the vServer Guest is valid
    • the vServer is accessible across the associated networks

  2. when the vServer is placed on server pool#2
    • the vServer creation is NOT fully successful:
    • the "vDC-Create-vServer" tasks succeeds
    • however the networking environment created on the vServer Guest is NOT valid
    • the vServer is NOT accessible across the associated networks
    • when accessing the vServer via "xm console", you may a sequence of repeating errors similar to the following:
