"" Script Hangs and Compute Node Freezes while Patching an Exalogic Compute Node (Doc ID 1546906.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version and later
Linux x86-64

For Exalogic Linux Physical releases with Infrastructure version 2.0.x, while the compute node is patched through, the script hangs and the compute node completely freezes. This behavior is observed regardless of whether the patch script is executed from an NFS share or copied to local disk prior to execution. IPoIB partitions are configured on the rack with the compute node being a member of one or more non-default partitions..

Following are Affected Exalogic Linux Physical Releases:

All PSUs of Exalogic Linux Physical 2.0 releases which are shipped with IB Firmware version 2.0.x.
