Boundary Timer on a Receive Task in BPM Process does not Expire even after Time Out (Doc ID 1547342.1)

Symptoms

There is a pair of Send (used to send a message (msg) to a webservice (WS)) and Receive (receive reply from that WS) task.

There is a boundary timer on the Receive task which is set to expire if there is no WS response received after seven days. In addition, 'Interrupting event' property is enabled and Time cycle is configured as: '0 Months 7 Days 0:0:0'.

However for some process instances, this timer doe not timeout and not even after seven days hence it is for ever waiting for a reply.
