Indexer Stuck With Replication Error (Doc ID 1552490.1)

Symptoms

This issue happened in a Contribution/Consumption scenario.

The first noted symptom was that many items were stuck in Done status on the contribution server. Resubmitting the items did not fix the problem. However, after some investigation it was noted that the Auto Update Cycle would periodically throw an error:

There was no value for the error.

Changes

 An archive which exported and deleted many items in the Trash folder had been created.
