Cannot Resize ShowDetailFrame in IE 8 (Doc ID 1558253.1)

In a  Webcenter Portal  resizing ShowdetailFrame components in an Internet Explorer (IE) 8 browser page can lead to problems. Under certain conditions it is impossible to re-size the component. The following is one such example:

Using  JDeveloper create an application that contains an ADF (.jspx) page with three Show Detail Frame components side by side - Frame 1, Frame 2, and Frame 3.

Run the application in the Integrated WLS. Use IE 8 to browse to the application. Resizing and moving these components leads to the problem.

1. Resize Frame 2 to half the depth of the browser page.

2. Move Frame 1 above Frame 2

3. Resize Frame 1 down the browser page until Frame 2 is no longer visible, and the browser scroll bar appears.

4. Scroll down and attempt to resize Frame 2.

The last resize attempt on Frame 2 results in a small Frame, that cannot then be then resized.
