RememberLastAccessedPage is not working in 11.1.1.6.5 (Doc ID 1560972.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.5 to 11.1.1.6.6 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6, after upgrade to 11.1.1.6.5, setting the "rememberLastAccessedPage" to "ACROSS_SESSION" in webcenter-config.xml is no longer working.
After user logs out and logs in again,  the user is not taken to the last page that was accessed (logged out from). Instead the Home Space is displayed.

The following test case better explains the problem.

  1. Install Bundle Patch 6 on Patchset 5 (11.1.1.6.0)
  2. Restart all servers.
  3. Export the latest webcenter-config.xml from MDS.
  4. Open the file in a text editor and enter the following:
     <webcenter:rememberLastAccessedPage>ACROSS_SESSION</webcenter:rememberLastAccessedPage>
  5. Import back the latest webcenter-config.xml to MDS.
  6. Test the last Accessed page functionality:

    1. Create two new Spaces as following:
                      SP1 -> Page1 and Page2
                      SP2 -> PageA and PageB
    2. Login as user "weblogic".
    3. Select SP1->Page1 and logout.
    4. Login as user "weblogic"  SP1->Home (that is wrong) is displayed.
      Expected SP1-->Page1 to be displayed.
    5. Select SP1->Page2 and logout
    6. Login as user weblogic.  SP1->Home (that is wrong) is displayed.
      Expected SP1-->Page2 to be displayed
