Unable To Edit/Save MS Office Document Via SharePoint When OpenSSO Web Agent Installed On Proxy Server (Doc ID 1562975.1)

Symptoms

OpenSSO Web Agent is installed on the web proxy server to protect resource going to the backend server with SharePoint deployed. SharePoint is configured with OpenSSO for authentication. When accessing the documents hosted on the SharePoint server, users are presented with authentication box that is enforced by the Web Agent and after successfully authenticated, MS document (for example, Excel) opens up inside the user's browser window (for example, Internet Explorer). Click "Open in Excel' from the IE tool bar, at the “Open Prompted”, select “Edit” and “OK”, Excel is launched and a “Windows Security” dialog box (Windows basic authenctication) presents on desktop. Enter credentials and submit. The “Windows Security” dialog box  presents again on desktop. Enter credentials and submit.The “Windows Security” dialog box presents again on desktop.
