Spaces Hang BP6 (Content Presenter Is Not Hitting Cache When Using CMIS Query) (Doc ID 1563646.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer has a highly available setup distributed in 2 different data centers where these data centers are about 35 kms away from each other.
They upgraded their WebCenter Spaces to 11.1.1.6.6 and since then their Spaces hangs every day between 9 and 10 in the morning. While Spaces hangs there are stuck threads seen in the thread dump.
The only way to fix this issue is to restart Spaces.

The thread dump shows many stuck threads with stack like these:

"[STUCK] ExecuteThread: '50' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'" daemon prio=10 tid=0x00002aaae5a53000 nid=0x6062 waiting on condition [0x0000000051322000]
