Process Instance Stuck in a Service Task Even after Retry (Doc ID 1565579.1)

The instance when executing a service task received a SOAP Fault which was retried as per the fault policies defined. Even after the retry the instance remains stuck. The instance was grabbed using Alter Flow from BPM Workspace but it could not be sent to any other activity.
