Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Release 1 (12.1) Announcements

Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c has been released to Oracle Technology Network (OTN) and Oracle Software Delivery Cloud (OSDC) systems according to the following schedule. There may be separate download disks in OTN depending on the product, but alldisks are provided within OSDC when choosing the "Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Media Pack" selection.

Maintenance Tasks

At this time there are no Patch Sets for Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c. (A Patch Set is a 4th digit, e.g. 12.1.2.x). Note that version 12.1.3 is not a direct update to 12.1.2, they are separate installations and an upgrade path is available. Each product installed with Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c may be maintained separately, where Oracle Weblogic Server is part of the Patch Set Update (PSU) program to provide a cumulative and quarterly set of important Interim (one-off) patches. (A PSU or Bundle is a 5th digit, e.g. Other products may have Bundle Patches or only single Interim patches. The following will help you get started:

Important Known Issues and Recommended Updates

See the above maintenance tasks first. It is already assumed you will update the JDK, and apply PSU/SPU patches from the Critical Patch Update program. Below are additional recommendations.

Prerequisite for All:

- Required as a prerequisite to 12.1.3 interim patches, including some CPU patches

The following has is cumulative to CPUs and SSL crashing issues and recommended to apply stated patches within:

Refer to the Certification Guides to look up what is certified together. Where something is not specifically certified together, it may be deemed compatible by design.
