Symptoms

Oracle API Gateway  11.1.2.1.0.

Upon deployment of a configuration which uses a certificate with a wild card in the CN, '*.<DOMAIN NAME>', the following error is observed

ERROR 03/Jul/2013:17:08:13.330 [df316940] warning: Certificate's commonName '*.<DOMAIN NAME>' does not resolve to a network address: Name or service not known
