Empty JMS Messages are not Getting Processed (Doc ID 1569347.1)

Symptoms

When trying to read zero-length messages in an OSB proxy service, the following behavior is observed:

  1. The OSB proxy flow tries to consume the message.
  2. The message status is changed to "receive" (observed in the WLS Console).
  3. The message is not processed. The status of the message stays at "receive."
