Goal

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g.

Using an OVD Adapter connected to Active Directory (AD), Adapter Type of LDAP, Adapter Template= User_ActiveDirectory.

How to filter out attribute results by name, specifically, the memberOf attribute in AD needs to be filtered out based on the value's naming convention, so that only the memberOf values specific to an application are returned through the adapter?

In addition, how to show a trimmed or shortened DN for the memberof's in the output?

In other words, need a way to filter out attribute results by the (memberOf=<beginning of a group's name>*) attribute in AD, including the usage of the wildcard in order to encompass multiple groups.  In addition, need OVD to show a shortened DN for the memberof's returned in the output.

For example, when firstname Doe's memberOf attributes are queried, only include the names of all of the AD groups he is a member of that start with "Abc_QA*".  Each user will be a member of many other groups (that would like filtered out) and will be a member of multiple groups that begin with "Abc_QA_*" that would like included.  Primarily, would like to only see the groups with names that begin with "CN=Abc_QA".  Secondarily, would like to shorten then member DN output to a shorter value.

Example of Expected Primary Output -- Display only groups that begin with "CN=Abc_QA" through the OVD adapter search:
