Webservice SystemPageCache folder size grows too fast (Doc ID 1574763.1)

Symptoms

After developing a new Custom WebService, it is observed that the folder / SystemPageCache / WebServices / AssetSet / MYCustomWS gets filled with a high number of files.
The name of the files is a number and does not contain any error, they are generated very fast.
There is a script to clean these folders but it slows down the performance as there are lots of files to remove.
