Goal
The standard HOST:PORT\SERVICE NAME basic connection syntax is used by the APEX Listener in most cases, however, there are situations where the standard syntax does not work:
- The user receives TNS related errors such as: ORA-12514 ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
- A RAC database is in use, but a SCAN Listener is not configured or cannot be used.
What other connection options are available with the APEX Listener?
