Select SQL Generated With Different Column Orders In Select Clause (Doc ID 1574944.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle TopLink - Version 11.1.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using TopLink version 11.1.1.4.0, created an application which has JPQL joining two entities with non-PK criteria. When EclipseLink generates the SQL from the JPQL, the order of columns listed in the select clause may change, e.g. sometimes it has "SELECT COL_A, COL_BE, ....", sometimes it has "SELECT COL_B, COL_A, ...". The shuffling of the column order causes the database to treat them as different SQL statements.
