Select SQL Generated With Different Column Orders In Select Clause
(Doc ID 1574944.1)
Last updated on MARCH 31, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle TopLink - Version 11.1.1.4.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Using TopLink version 11.1.1.4.0, created an application which has JPQL joining two entities with non-PK criteria. When EclipseLink generates the SQL from the JPQL, the order of columns listed in the select clause may change, e.g. sometimes it has "SELECT id, name, ....", sometimes it has "SELECT name, id, ...". The shuffling of the column order causes the database to treat them as different SQL statements.
