Unable to Return Search Results Using OracleTextSearch as Search Engine (Doc ID 1576781.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to search using OracleTextSearch, search fails and the following error occurs:

Content Server Request Failed
Error Unable to retrieve search results. Error occurred while processing. Unable to return results

From the Content Server logs:
