SOA 11g: Task 'Request More Information' is not Sending a Notification Email (Doc ID 1576825.1)

Email notification is not being sent to users after a task has been sent back as "request more information"

Expecting an email notification after this step is expected. .

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Submit workflow task.  
2. Change task to "request more Information"
3. Observe that no email is generated.
