OWB 11g Mapping Connections Not Updated After MDL Import (Doc ID 1579920.1)

Symptoms

When trying to import an existing OWB 11g mapping to update the metadata on the target instance, the table column links are not updated correctly.

Import Process is performed as below:

• Create a new OWB 11.2.0.2 environment.
• Import the mapping MDL into this environment with the below options:

          Import selected objects from file
          Create new metadata only
          match by names

• Make some changes to the mapping (Ex : remove some mapping links between columns)
• Save the changes
• Export the mapping to a MDL file
• Re-Import this mapping MDL into the same environment with the below options:

          Import selected objects from file
          Update metadata
          Match by names

• The mapping does not reflect the changes.
  
  If you delete the mapping and re-import the MDL, the changes are visible.
