Derby always gets started when adminserver starts with startWebLogic script

Derby process always gets started, when adminserver starts with startWebLogic script.
ex) on Unix platform (on Windows platform, the script file is startWebLogic.cmd.)
> cd $DOMAIN_HOME/bin
You will see a derby process is running.
> ps -ef | grep derby
wlsuser 11817 1 1 19:28 pts/1 00:00:01 /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_25/bin/java -Dderby.system.home=/home/wlsinst/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/user_projects/domains/base_domain/common/db -classpath /home/wlsinst/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/wlserver/common/derby/lib/derby.jar:/home/wlsinst/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/wlserver/common/derby/lib/derbynet.jar:/home/wlsinst/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/wlserver/common/derby/lib/derbytools.jar:/home/wlsinst/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/wlserver/common/derby/lib/derbyclient.jar org.apache.derby.drda.NetworkServerControl start
