Details

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture 11.1.1.8.0 and 11.1.1.9.0 are now available. This product combines the features of Oracle Document Capture and Oracle Distributed Document into a single product offering and has been re-written to use the Fusion Middleware technology stack.

Key Enhancements:

Streamline user interface for common use cases
Support import and commit of native documents
Support remote indexing of captured documents
Globalization and translations

Main Components

Workspace Console – Web application used to create workspaces and configure capture elements within a workspace.
Client Applet – Java applet used by end-users to create batches, scan/import documents and index documents.
Import Processor– Automatically imports documents from email, file system folders or list files.
Document Conversion Processor – Converts non-image documents to image format.
Recognition Processor – Performs bar code and patch code recognition of batches to organize and index documents.
Commit Processor – Responsible for committing documents to WebCenter Content, WebCenter Content: Imaging or a file system.
Enterprise Manager Capture Panel - System administrator interface for configuring system settings and performance metric monitoring.

Technology stack:

Host server as J2EE application
Port Capture servers (Import, Recognition and Commit) to J2EE
Provide Java applet scan/index user interface
Provide ADF administrative user interface
FMW stack integration: install/configuration, WLST, EM, OPSS, etc…
