Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2016

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the ACTIVITIES scheme ANALYTICS records are stored in GMT and not the actual local time.

Example:
Clicking around a webcenter portal application at 13:51 hours where the weblogic managed server is running with this option: -Duser.timezone=Europe/Amsterdam.  Then doing this query :

alter session set current_schema=WE2_ACTIVITIES;
SELECT 'Spaces' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_groupsp_0 fact
UNION ALL
  SELECT 'Pages' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_pagevie_0 fact
UNION ALL
  SELECT 'Portlets' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_portlet_0 fact
UNION ALL
  SELECT 'Logins' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_logins_0 fact
UNION ALL
  SELECT 'Searches' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_searche_0 fact
UNION ALL
  SELECT 'Wikis/Blogs' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_doclib__0 fact
UNION ALL
  SELECT 'Discussions' Name, to_char(max(fact.occurred),'yyyy-dd-mm hh24:mi:ss')
  FROM asfact_wc_discuss_1 fact;

Get this output :
