ODI Error "com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: Error in load while initializing logger" When Running HFM Interface (Doc ID 1585673.1)

Symptoms

When running an ODI interface that uses a Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) knowledge module an error like this is seen with an 'Access is denied' error message. Please note that the line number that is encountered may vary depending on the particular knowledge module that has been used:

com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: Error in load while initializing logger. Message: C:\TEMP (Access is denied)

The path mentioned in the error message (i.e. C:\TEMP in the example above) is a folder and not a file.
