Symptoms

You are unable to create vServers on the IB network and get the following error message on EMOC:

Error on EMOC : ERROR Unable to add members to fabric. Reason: addMembersToLogicalFabric: This operation is not supported for switch : com.sun.hss.domain:type=Switch, name = 00=E0-4B-XX-YY-ZZ

 

The cacao logs on pc2 shows:

INE: thr#344:"JM-ec1-vm.455.1.5719.ecu-pc-IPoIB-vserver-shared-storage-secondary-b3dcf9cb/com.sun.hss.domain:name=00-E0-4B-XX-YY-ZZ,type=Switch" could not perform UnExposeInternalFabricPorts task for com.sun.hss.domain:name=00-E0-4B-XX-YY-ZZ,type=Switch; reason: Failed to execute command - /opt/sun/n1gc/bin/ib_vnic_list.expect -cred /tmp/cred4176777614538658118.tmp -host 192.xxx.xx.xxx -output_file /tmp/ibgvnicsl4281197593914871403.tmp; exit: 251; stderr: /opt/sun/n1gc/bin/ib_vnic_list.expect:error: invalid password for user ilom-admin on 192.xxx.xx.xxx.
