The "Save as New" button in MS-Excel WebCenter Content Ribbon becomes disabled on new MS-Excel files if there is another excel file opened from WebCenter Content Server at the same time.  You can see this behavior with Desktop Integration Suite (DIS) version 11.1.6.x or 11.1.7.x installed on a Windows 7 workstation with MS-Office 2010 installed by doing the following:

  1. Create a completely new Excel file, and enter some value within the spreadsheet.
  2. Open a checked-in Excel file from a WebCenter Content Server through Desktop Integration Suite while the Excel file created in step 1 above is still open and unsaved.  Note: It does not matter which method is used to open it.
  3. Return to the new Excel file
  4. Go to WebCenter Content ribbon/tab. Note the Save As New-button is now disabled.

The user cannot save the new Excel file. This only occurs in MS-Excel 2010.
