Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 10.1.3.6.5 to 11.1.1.7.0
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ODI tool called ODISendMail does not send the size parameter of the mail message and / or attachment when sending mail to the mail server.

This can lead to the Mail Server not being able to handle the receipt of the message and cause unpredicted behavior on the Mail Server.

The purpose of the Size parameter in the head of the mail is to allow the mail server to be able to block emails with an attachment larger than its specified limit in order to avoid a crash of the Mail Server.
