Timer Event Does Not Fire If OS Time Is Turned Back (e.g. Back From Daylight Saving Time)
(Doc ID 1587759.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.6 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The purpose is to demonstrate that EJB 3.0 interval timer is DST aware.
This will create an interval timer whose first expiration occurs after a specified duration (5 seconds), and whose subsequent expirations occur after a specified interval (5 seconds).
It is not correct to demonstrate the DST-awareness of EJB interval timer just by moving back the OS clock a couple of minutes. If you do that the ejb timer will freeze.
