REST-API behavior when attempting to update blob's filename and foldername (Doc ID 1590024.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Sites - Version 7.6.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

When launching a “POST” update using REST-API with a list of attributes, there is an unsolicited update of the “filename” "foldername" type attributes. The REST-API code is always changing the blob files name and path to naming and routes that are determined by BlobServer to store blobs.

BLOB object before the POST operation with REST_API:

<filename>BLOBNAME.PDF</filename>
<foldername>/usr/subfolder/subfolder1/subfolder2/2013/03/14</foldername>

BLOB object after POST operation with REST_API:

<filename>BLOBNAME,1.PDF</filename>
<foldername>/usr/subfolder/subfolder1/subfolder2/186/983</foldername>
