Symptoms

A ldapcompare operation fails, if the userpassword is stored in UNIX CRYPT FORMAT.

Ldapbind operation using the same password is successful.

 

ldapsearch output of the user shows:

 

dn: cn=testuser,cn=Users,dc=oracle,dc=com
userpassword: {CRYPT}Cftc0MVPL05iM
cn: testuser
sn: testuser
objectclass: person
objectclass: top
