vDC Account Resources Usage Graphs for Storage and Memory, do not show correct results (Doc ID 1591489.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version to
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Sever (x64)

In Enterprise Manager Ops Center (EMOC) for any vDC Account the Resources Usage for Storage and  Memory, the Graphs do not yield any results.

This can be seen as follows:

Login to EMOC.

In the "Navigation" left panel, expand "vDC Management" accordion panel

Within the "vDC Management" accordion panel expand the tree nodes: vDCs => MyCloud => Accounts

Below the "MyCloud" node, click on any account that has at least one  (ideally more) vServer's defined

If not already selected, click on the "Dashboard" tab.

On the "Dashboard" screen locate the "Resource Usage" pane. This is likely the third horizontal region from the top

Within the "Resource Usage" pane, locate the drop down menus near the top left
In the rightmost drop down select a long time period (e.g. 5 days)
In the leftmost drop down menu, select each of the following values
Inn turn and then inspect the displayed graph:
        (a) vCPU
        (b) Memory
        (c) Storage

For vCPU, we see the correct expected graph.

However, the value displayed in the graph is unexpected and obviously incorrect for each choice:

In the case of "Memory" the graph may resemble a flat line ECG, steady around the x-axis (ie y=0)

In the case of "Storage" the graph may not have any line displayed at all
