How To Allow a Double Slash "//" In URI on Oracle iPlanet Web Server?
(Doc ID 1592591.1)
Last updated on JUNE 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle iPlanet Web Server - Version 7.0 to 7.0 [Release 7.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
When a request is sent to the Oracle iPlanet Web Server that contains a double-slash ("//"), The Web Server will replace the double-slash with a single slash ("/") in the request before sending to the Origin Server. This is normal/default behavior for the iPlanet Web Server. It parses the URI as "//" but it is not considered a valid URI. However, the "//" may be required for the URI to be passed to the Origin Server unchanged.
