Symptoms
Oracle Internet Directory (OID), i.e., OID 11g or 12c, integrated with Enterprise User Security (EUS).
Setup aliases for users in OID.
However, using the aliases prevents an EUS login to the target database:
ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Also ldapbinds fail using the alias:
ldap_bind: Invalid credentials
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
