Collecting Version and Patch Inventory Details for Oracle Identity Manager 11g Issues

This document provides instructions to gather the product, version and patch details required by Oracle Support for assistance with issues in Oracle Identity Manager 11g (OIM 11g).
Level of expertise/Required prerequisites: This is a basic administrative level task used to support the maintenance of Oracle Identity Manager 11g (OIM 11g). These commands require that the user knows the location of the OIM 11g domain home and has access to their install locations. Also, the user will need to be able to set environment variables and navigate to specified directories to collect the output of the commands.
Background/Reference: All OIM 11g installations include installations of Oracle AS Common and Oracle SOA Suite. Together with OIM 11g, these products share certain underlying tech stack components which can be impacted by installations, updates or patches. In order to assist customers with issues in OIM 11g, Oracle Support needs to have a full understanding of the version and patches for each of these installed components as well as the listing of any patches which have been applied on them. This detail is gathered using BSU and the OPatch lsinventory commands: opatch lsinventory -detail and opatch lsinventory -all.
JDeveloper is used to create custom task flows, SOA composites and WebSerivice Connectors for OIM 11g. The JDeveloper instance used to develop and deploy to the OIM 11g domain requires a specific version, specific product extensions and patches for those extensions. In order to assist customers with issues using the custom task flows, SOA composites or WebService Connectors for OIM 11g, Oracle Support needs to have a full understanding of the JDeveloper version, extensions and patches. This detail is gathered using the OPatch lsinventory command for JDeveloper.
BSU: The Oracle WebLogic Servers Smart Update Command Line Utility, which gathers version and patch details for WebLogic Server. Additional details about BSU can be found in the product documentation here.
OPatch:The platform dependent tool used for Oracle products to install and rollback patches, check for patch conflicts and report installed components and patches. Additional details about OPatch can be found in Document.1486109.1
