Symptoms

After stopping one node of the Oracle DB RAC, the parameter "Connection Creation Retry Frequency" set on both the Connection Pools (Initial capacity is set to 1 for both) seems not to be taken into consideration. The server polls for the down node (heartbeat) always every 5-6 seconds even though the "Connection Creation Retry Frequency" = 60 sec (for instance).
