WebCenter Content CPU is Spiking When Deleting documents using IPM_DELETE_DOCUMENTS

(Doc ID 1598536.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 09, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

WebCenter Content is experiencing CPU and memory spikes on threads running the IpmRepository component method addIpmStatusCodeToBinder.  The CPU is spiking due to memory leaks in IPM_DELETE_DOCUMENTS.  A restart will bring the machine back to normal.

Thread dumps show this method in RUNNING state over extended period of time. Threads are looping on a do...while loop, and doesn't appear to have logic to break out of loop under a certain condition.
