AccessControlException encountered after upgrading Java version from Java5r10 to Java5r51

After upgrading our JCAPS Java version from Java5r10 to Java5r51, the following exceptions is encounter during processing:

java.lang.RuntimeException: access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission

This seems to happen during serialization of an object.
