NPE when Status Filter 'ANY' Selected in BPM Workspace View

Symptoms

The following steps in BPM Workspace causes the error given below.

Login into BPM Workspace and in the view:
Select Assignee filter: any entree in the list.
Select the Status filter : 'Any'

NullPointerException error is observed in soa-diagnostic logs:
